THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE PROVIDED FOR ALL STUDENTS:
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- GA3231 Immunization Form
- GA3300 Hearing, Vision and Dental Form
There are 2 Categories in the Registration Process:
Category 1: Transfer Students are students coming from a Dekalb School. Click: School to School Transfer and make certain you have:
- Parent identification
- Lease or mortgage statement
- Affidavits if submitted must be Notarized
- Current utility bill
- See Residency Update/Change Information for links and further details
- Information must be uploaded in a Word or PDF document. Screen shots will not be accepted
The final step requires completing the (SLC) Small Learning Community Selection. The registration process is not complete until your child selects a learning community. For guidance in completing the SLC form click: SLC Overview. To make your selection click: SLC/Elective Selection Form
Please complete a form for each student. Your elective selection is not a guarantee.
*You will receive an email with an application number confirming your child’s registration.
Contact your SLC Administrator with your confirmation to request your child’s Chromebook.
Category 2: New Dekalb Students are students who were not in a Dekalb student within the last school year. Click the button for Online District Registration. You are required to go to the District website to start the registration process
- You will receive an email confirming the completion of your application
- The process may take up to 72 hours
- When confirmation is received go back to the MLK Website to complete the (SLC) Small Learning Community Selection. Registration is not complete until your child selects a learning community. - Please complete a form for each student. Your elective selection is not a guarantee.
- Contact your SLC Administrator to request your child’s Chromebook
For current students needing to update information or returning to Dekalb within the (2019-2020) school year only click: Update Information
- Click Student Withdrawal and follow instructions
There are 2 Categories for: Transcript Request/Enrollment Verification
- Category 1: Students who graduated between (2015 and 2020) submit your request on Parchment.com
- Category 2: Students who graduated before 2015 click on the link: https://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/records-and-transcript
- After forms are completed send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and enter “Enrollment in the SUBJECT LINE
- In the MESSAGE section include: Student’s name, date of birth and Forms you completed. You will be contacted by email within 24 hours. DO NOT upload documents to the email.
