The goals of Martin Luther King, Jr. High School counseling department are to prepare students for the world of work, provide career guidance and post-secondary information, conduct individual and group counseling, facilitate classroom guidance sessions, and serve the needs of the students, parents, staff, and the community.

When can parents meet with their child's counselor? In order to serve you best, it is highly recommended that you schedule an appointment to meet with your child's counselor. Please contact your child's counselor to schedule an appointment.
When can students meet with their counselor? Students may meet with their counselor before school, after school, or during their lunch without an appointment. Students may make an appointment to meet with their counselor by signing the “appointment request log” available daily in the counseling office.
