Naviance

Please use Clever to log into Naviance and complete the following required tasks (review the attached document for additional instructions):

 

  1. Create GA Futures Account

 

Students, you need to create your GA Futures account. Please log in to Naviance and look at the bottom left of the page under links. Click the link for GA Futures and follow the instructions to create your account. Please ask your counselor if you need any help with creating your account. You will need at least the following information to create your account:

 

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Username (you create one!)
  • Password (you create one!)
  • 3 Security Questions (you create these!)
  • Birthdate
  • Address (Street, Zip Code)

 

You MUST come back to this task to mark this task as complete in Naviance!

  1. Attend Fall Senior Meeting with Counselor

Students, please attend your mandatory Fall Senior Meeting with your counselor. Once you've met with your counselor, they will mark this task as complete.

  1. Complete Senior Fall Checklist

Students, please update your list of Senior Fall responsibilities as you complete them. Click on Complete this Survey next to the pink box with the arrow in it to update your checklist. You must have all activities completed before Winter Break.

  1. Set SAT/ ACT SMART Goal

Students, please follow these directions:

  1. Go to the Naviance homepage
  2. Go to College and Career Readiness Lessons - HINT! It's the purple box under Resources to Get Ready
    1. Complete this lesson: My Test Prep Plan
  3. Return to the task
  4. Set an SAT/ ACT SMART Goal to mark this task as complete. This task will only be marked as complete when you've done this.

Students, to be eligible for a fee waiver, you must have free or reduced lunch.

Please contact your "Assisgned Counselor" to verify if you  receive a fee waiver code.

 

  1. Create Brag Sheet

Students, please create a brag sheet that lists all of your wonderful accomplishments. Your teachers will use this to help them write your letters of recommendation. Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions.

  1. Apply for Scholarships

To find and apply for scholarships, please follow these directions:

  1. Go to the Naviance homepage
  2. Select the “COLLEGES” tab in the top bar
  3. Choose one of the options under “Scholarships & Money” to start looking for scholarships.
  4. FAFSA Senior Lessons Follow Up Survey

Students, please follow these directions:

  1. Go to the Naviance homepage
  2. Go to College and Career Readiness Lessons - HINT! It's the purple box under Resources to Get Ready
    1. Complete this lesson: Completing the FAFSA lesson
    2. Complete this lesson: FAFSA 4Caster lesson
  3. Complete the FAFSA
  4. Take the FAFSA Lessons Follow-Up Survey to mark it as complete once you've completed the FAFSA. This task will only be marked as complete when you've done this.
  5. Upload Scholarship Award Letters

Students, please follow these directions:

  1. Go to the Naviance homepage
  2. Find “Upload Scholarship Award Letters” under you assigned tasks
  3. Drop any/all letters that prove the scholarships that you were awarded into the upload box
  4. Apply to College

Resources to help you apply for college can be found under the “COLLEGES” at the top of the Naviance homepage.

  1. Complete the senior exit survey (May 2024)

Students, please follow these directions:

  1. Go to the Naviance homepage
  2. Click on “About Me” in the top right corner, and select “Surveys from you school” in the drop-down menu
  3. Select “2023” Senior Exit Survey/Next Step”


Steps for Students to Access Naviance

  1. Go to https://www.naviance.com/
  2. Click “Sign In”
  3. Select “Student and Families”
  4. On “Search for School” tab put Zip Code 30038
  5. Select “Martin Luther King, Jr. High School”
  6. Select “Login with Clever”
