We have been working so hard to produce a quality show for our students here on the south side of Dekalb. MLK Drama Department Presents the Wiz is slated to open May 12 and close May 13, 2016. We have had so many financial obstacles that have prevented us from offering this musical to the student body, staff and community. So, now it's crunch time. I am desperately asking for help from my friends, family and associates abroad.
The money you donate will fund the following: lights and sound, set pieces, a live band and costumes. We need the funds by May 5th, one week before the opening of the production.
Helping us produce this show will mean the world to 20 deserving teenagers who have had to put up with long hours of rehearsals and lack of sleep. Not to mention, three very hard working directors who are on pins and needles praying and hoping we can make this happen. We believe in our cast. Do you?
